How SK Document Centre collects, uses, protects, and handles your personal information and documents.

SK Document Centre (“Company,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”) is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of personal information entrusted to us by our clients. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, protect, and dispose of personal data in the course of providing our professional document services. By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted this Privacy Policy in its entirety.

1. Scope of This Policy

1.1  This Privacy Policy applies to all clients, users, and individuals who interact with SK Document Centre in any capacity — in person, by telephone, via WhatsApp, through our website, or by any other means of communication.

1.2  This policy covers all personal data and documents provided to us in connection with any of our services, including:

  • Embassy & Consulate Attestation and Apostille
  • Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Attestation
  • Human Resource Development (HRD) Attestation
  • Home Department & SDM Attestation
  • Notary & Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) Services
  • Translation Services (Certified / Sworn)
  • Stamp Paper Procurement
  • Online Government Services & Consultancy

1.3  By submitting any document or personal information to the Company, you expressly consent to the collection and processing of your data as described in this Policy.

2. Information we collect

2.1  In the course of rendering professional document services, the Company may collect, receive, and process the following categories of personal information:

2.2  The Company collects only such information as is necessary and relevant for the completion of the requested service. We do not collect sensitive financial credentials, passwords, or banking information.

3. Purpose of  Data  Collection & Use

3.1  All personal data and documents collected by SK Document Centre are used exclusively for legitimate, service-related purposes:

  • Processing and completing the attestation, apostille, translation, or other service requested by you.
  • Submission of your documents to embassies, consulates, government departments, and other competent authorities on your behalf.
  • Communicating service updates, status notifications, policy changes, or fee revisions via WhatsApp or xtelephone.
  • Maintaining service records, receipts, and transaction history for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Generating translated documents, certified copies, and attested records as part of the service.
  • Responding to queries, complaints, or requests raised by you.

ℹ The Company does not use your personal data for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose unrelated to your service request. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for commercial gain.

4. Data Sharing & Third - Party Disclousre

4.1  SK Document Centre may share your personal data and documents with third parties strictly on a need-to-know basis, only to the extent necessary to deliver the service. Such third parties may include:

  • Embassies, consulates, high commissions, and foreign missions
  • MEA, HRD, Home Department, SDM offices, and other government bodies
  • Notaries, sworn translators, and certified authentication agencies
  • Courier and logistics service providers (for document dispatch only)
  • Online government portals and e-services platforms

4.2  All such sharing is limited to the personal information strictly required for the transaction and is done solely in furtherance of your service request.

4.3  The Company shall not be held liable for the privacy practices, data security, or conduct of any third-party authority, government body, or courier agency to whom data is disclosed for service completion purposes. The Client acknowledges this limitation.

4.4  The Company may disclose personal data if required to do so by any court of law, government authority, or law enforcement agency under applicable Indian law.

5. Document Handling & storage

5.1  Physical Documents: Original documents submitted to the Company are handled with due care. They are kept securely during processing and returned or dispatched to the Client upon completion.

5.2  Digital Copies: Scanned copies and digital images may be retained in our internal records for service tracking, compliance, and record-keeping purposes.

5.3  The Company shall not be responsible for the safety, condition, or integrity of laminated documents during de-lamination, or for any damage to documents in transit via courier after dispatch. Clients are strongly advised to retain certified copies of all original documents submitted.

5.4  Data Retention: Personal data and service records are retained for a period as reasonably required by applicable law, tax regulations, or internal compliance requirements. Data no longer required shall be securely deleted or destroyed.

6. Data Security

6.1  SK Document Centre takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data in its possession from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.

6.2  Access to client data within the Company is restricted to authorised personnel who require it for service delivery purposes only.

6.3  Notwithstanding the above, the Client acknowledges that no method of data transmission or electronic storage is entirely secure. In the event of a data breach, the Company shall notify affected clients as required by applicable law.

6.4  The Client bears responsibility for the security of any login credentials, OTPs, or access information shared with or on behalf of the Company during online service processing.

7. Your Right Over Personal Data

7.1  Subject to applicable law, the Client has the following rights with respect to their personal data held by SK Document Centre:

  • Right to Access: You may request confirmation of whether we hold your personal data and request a copy.
  • Right to Correction: You may request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw consent to data processing at any time; however, withdrawal does not affect lawful processing already carried out and may prevent us from completing your service.
  • Right to Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal data upon conclusion of the service, subject to any legal retention obligations.

7.2  To exercise any of the above rights, please contact the Company in writing via our official channels (WhatsApp, telephone, or in person). We shall respond within a reasonable time.

8. Document Authenticity & Client Responsibility

8.1  The Client warrants and represents that all personal information, documents, and data submitted to the Company are genuine, authentic, accurate, and legally valid.

8.2  In the event that any Client-submitted document is found to be fraudulent, forged, fabricated, or illegal, the Client shall bear sole and complete responsibility — legal, financial, and criminal — for all consequences. The Company, its directors, employees, and associates shall bear no liability whatsoever.

8.3  The Company processes and forwards documents in good faith as an intermediary and is not obligated to independently verify the authenticity of every document received.

8.4  Submission of false or fabricated documents does not constitute any wrongdoing on the part of the Company and shall not be construed as a breach of this Privacy Policy.

9. Communication & Policy Updates

9.1  The Company may send service-related communications to clients via WhatsApp, telephone, or website notifications. These include status updates, document requirements, fee changes, and policy amendments.

9.2  Updates to this Privacy Policy shall be communicated through the Company’s official website, WhatsApp broadcast, or telephonic communication, and shall take effect immediately upon such notification.

9.3  It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure their contact details are kept current with the Company. Continued use of our services after any update to this Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised terms..

10. Courier Dispatch & Post- Delivery Privacy

10.1  Upon dispatch of documents via courier, the Client’s name and delivery address are shared with the courier agency solely for the purpose of delivery. This sharing is limited, purposeful, and does not constitute a breach of privacy.

10.2  Once documents are dispatched, the Company’s responsibility ceases entirely. SK Document Centre bears no liability for delivery delays, loss, damage, or data handling by the courier agency post-dispatch. The Company will provide a tracking number and dispatch reference via WhatsApp or telephone. Courier charges are billed separately and are not included in the service fee.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1  SK Document Centre’s liability under this Privacy Policy is limited to the extent permissible under applicable Indian law. The Company shall not be liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from the lawful disclosure of personal data to government authorities, embassies, or courier agencies as part of the service.
  • Any breach of privacy caused by third parties to whom data was lawfully disclosed for service completion.
  • Any misuse of data by external authorities, government bodies, or courier agencies once data leaves the Company’s custody.
  • Any consequences arising from the Client’s submission of incorrect, false, or fabricated personal data.

11.2  The Company shall not be subject to any legal action, consumer complaint, cyber crime allegation, or criminal proceedings in relation to the lawful and transparent processing of Client data as described herein.

12. No Cyber crime - Full Transparency Declaration

SK Document Centre operates with complete transparency. This Privacy Policy, along with the Company’s Terms & Conditions of Service, is provided to every Client prior to the commencement of any service. No information, limitation, or charge is concealed from the Client.

12.1  All data collection and processing activities described herein are carried out with the Client’s prior knowledge and consent, freely given at the time of engaging our services. No data is collected or processed covertly, deceptively, or without the Client’s awareness.

12.2  The Client engages the services of SK Document Centre entirely of their own free will. No service is imposed, coerced, or forced upon the Client.

🚫12.3  By reason of the above, no activity of SK Document Centre in collecting, processing, or sharing personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy shall constitute a cyber crime, data theft, fraud, cheating, or criminal breach of trust under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), or any other applicable statute. Any false allegation made by a Client who has accepted these terms shall be considered a misrepresentation, and the Company reserves all rights to defend itself and pursue appropriate legal remedies.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

13.1  This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and its amendments.

13.2  Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts and tribunals of Delhi, India. The Client consents to this jurisdiction and waives any objection to venue.

14.2  The Company shall endeavour to address all privacy-related queries and grievances within a reasonable time frame.

Client Consent & Acknowledgement

By engaging the services of SK Document Centre, submitting any document, or making any payment, I / We confirm that I / We have read, understood, and unconditionally agreed to this Privacy Policy. I / We consent to the collection, use, storage, and sharing of my / our personal data as described herein, strictly for the purposes of service delivery, and acknowledge that this Policy has been made available to me / us in full before the commencement of any service.
